We learn that there are "really" seven of them; but again there is some difficulty with the eighth as there was before with the fourth.
Similarly, in contradiction to the previous emphasis placed on their lowly origin in the dark, it now appears that the Cabiri are actually to be found on Olympus; for they are eternallystriving from the depths to the heights and are therefore always to be found both below and above.
The "severe image" is obviously an unconscious content that struggles towards the light.
